A specialist mental-health ministry of Christian Caring Ministries Trust
Safeguarding • Advocacy • Wellbeing • Hope
Mental Health Care Mission (MHCM) is a specialist mental-health ministry of Christian Caring Ministries Trust (CCMT), established to support individuals, families and communities affected by mental-health difficulties.
MHCM provides a safe, compassionate and respectful environment where people can be listened to, receive wellbeing support, obtain information, access advocacy and signposting, participate in community activities and, where requested, receive Christian pastoral and spiritual support.
HOW MHCM SUPPORTS PEOPLE
Our work includes:
• Mental-health awareness and wellbeing support
• Advocacy, information and signposting
• Community outreach, education and training
• Pastoral care and optional spiritual support
• Family and carer support
• Social connection and community activities
• Referral to appropriate specialist services
WHOLE-PERSON SUPPORT
MHCM recognises that mental-health needs can affect every area of life. We therefore seek to address not only emotional wellbeing but also isolation, social exclusion, practical difficulties, family pressures, spiritual concerns and barriers to accessing appropriate support.
OUR CHRISTIAN FOUNDATION
Our Christian foundation is expressed through compassion, dignity, service, hope and respect for every person.
OUR ROLE AND PROFESSIONAL BOUNDARIES
MHCM does not diagnose mental-health conditions, prescribe medication or replace NHS, social-care, emergency or specialist clinical services. Where a person’s needs require specialist intervention, MHCM will encourage and facilitate appropriate referral or signposting.
SAFEGUARDING AND RESPECT
We are committed to safeguarding, confidentiality, appropriate information sharing, professional boundaries, equality, dignity and the protection of people who use our services.
OUR VISION
Our vision is to see people affected by mental-health difficulties supported, heard, valued and connected with appropriate help and community, while being encouraged towards hope, wellbeing and meaningful participation in life.
